Carry-On Pro Plus

This thing is beautiful. Even the cardboard box and cloth bag it came in are beautiful. I can’t believe how many zippered compartments there are for various things. Everything is high quality. The outer pocket is a no-brainer to me, spend the extra money on it if you can especially if you travel with a computer; it lightens the load off your shoulders while traveling (which makes a huge difference if you have any reasons - medical or not - that make carrying heavy backpacks or duffle bags difficult). The combination lock was easy to change. So I guess anyone reading this far down would wonder why 4 stars and not 5. It’s because while the color is pretty, it does not look like the website. The website Olive looks like a deep Olive with a metallic sheen. The actual Olive is plastic army man green, which is fine, I’ll keep it. I was torn between Olive and Terracotta and now I’m left wondering if I made the wrong choice. But I’m not going through the effort to send it back and then what if I don’t love the Terracotta? Anyway, lovely product! Check out the competitors’ carryons with outer pockets and see how different they look than Monos. Now I need to buy the compression bags and I’ll be set to travel when we can roam this earth again. I bought the white Carry-on Pro plus. I was concerned that it wouldn’t fit in the overhead bins. It was the exact measurement. It fit everything I needed for a week of travel to Texas. I even traveled with a bunch of heavy coins on the way back and it handled it perfectly. Having a roller was so clutch. I had a duffle before, so I was carrying a backpack and duffle. Traveling would be terrible on my back. Using the roller with my backpack on top of it was great, traveling was the easiest I’ve ever experienced and I travel every month. I even had to walk about half a mile away from the airport to get an uber and it wasn’t a big deal. I did that with my duffle and almost died once.

The travel cubes are a must. I got the smaller set, which I’d recommend. I had cubes left over on my trip. But women might like to use one of the smaller cubes for bras, something I obviously don’t deal with being a guy. The White color marks up pretty easily, but with a magic eraser looks brand new. Just in the overhead bin it had some black marks. I highly recommend white though, it looks really great.

Dislikes- it’s expensive. When it’s really full, the handle doesn’t extend all the way up as easily as it does when less stuff is it in. If you open the suitcase, it should slide out easier. And the laptop is tight if there is a lot of stuff inside. But both times i traveled with varying amounts of stuff, my 13” MacBook Air fit perfectly.

My review comes from my observations after excitedly unpackaging the Carry-On Pro Plus. As other reviews have mentioned, the wheels are fantastic! The Carry-On Pro Plus is wonderfully crafted and seems really sturdy. The zippers zip smoothly and don't feel cheaply made.

I really appreciate all the compartments and accessories, and I've always found a front pocket to be really handy for those short trips.

It took me a while to decide on choosing desert taupe as the colours on the website don't really reflect the actual colour. Most of the other reviews out there don't show much of the exterior or mention the colour of their piece because they're so interested in showing off their dogs or taking an artsy photo. Unfortunately, I have yet to be able to use my Carry-On Pro Plus yet, so I can't actually comment on its usability!

I was most excited about this suitcase because of the front pocket.

There are 2 elastic large pockets in the front pocket. The website states that the front pocket can fit a 15 inch laptop. The innermost large pocket is supposed to be for the laptop (it’s sturdier, and that’s what is pictured on the website). I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro, and although I was able to fit it into that pocket, it was extremely snug and VERY difficult to remove my laptop from that pocket because I could barely get a finger in to grab it (it took about 1 minute using 2 hands to try to pull it out without ripping any seams). Definitely not good for getting through security at the airport. My laptop fits in the 2nd elastic pocket just fine, but I am afraid that the seams will rip on that one, because that pocket is not as sturdy.

The front pocket also has 3 zipper compartments. The larger one is the perfect size for my passport. The two other ones are a bit too small to be useful for me - I wish they just made 1 more larger one rather than 2 small ones.

Also keep in mind, because of the front pocket, there is less space inside the suitcase.

I absolutely love this brand! there is storage built in to every component and it's beautiful. The wheels, zippers and handle are top-notch and the entire build is durable and better quality than any other carry-on I've ever had. It's super easy to change the lock and it's not heavy. I'm able to fit a lot with the compression pad and the front pocket could not be better. If you are putting something slightly bulky in the front pocket like a book I recommend using one of the other, it's a big hard to put like a laptop and a book or big magazine in at once. but there's still so much storage in this front pocket. i really recommend this over the regular carry-on plus because it's really important to have access to things quickly.
